Dr. John Hilton, MD, is a Clinician Investigator at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute (Cancer Therapeutics Program), a staff medical oncologist (Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre), and an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Ottawa. He also serves as the Research Lead for the Breast Cancer Disease site, as well as the Organizational Lead for the Clinical Trials Office within the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre. His primary clinical expertise and research focus is improving clinical care for patients with breast cancer and head and neck cancer, as well as specializing in early drug development for patients with advanced, metastatic disease. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from McGill University in 2005. He has earned licenses and certifications from the American Board of Internal Medicine, College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine in the United States.
