With a clinical focus on breast and gynecologic malignancies, Dr. Kumar is recognized for his depth of knowledge in complex systemic therapies and emerging targeted treatments. Dr. Kumar is also a dedicated researcher and clinical trialist. He serves as the provincial or site lead for multiple national and international breast and gynecologic cancer trials, including studies evaluating novel antibody-drug conjugates and oral SERDs for early-stage and metastatic breast cancer. A strong advocate for equitable cancer care, Dr. Kumar has worked extensively to address disparities in genetic testing—particularly among patients of South Asian descent. His efforts continue to drive system-level improvements that help ensure all patients benefit from advances in precision oncology.

Dr. Kumar’s impact extends far beyond his clinic. Through his advocacy, leadership, and dedication to research-driven care, he continues to champion progress in cancer treatment and to elevate the standard of care for patients with breast cancer throughout British Columbia and Canada.
