Arif Ali Awan is a Medical Oncologist at The Ottawa Hospital and serves as Medical Lead of the Cancer Clinical Trials Unit at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. He is also an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Ottawa and Co-chair of the Window of Opportunity Network at the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research. His work focuses on clinical and translational research, with a particular emphasis on early-phase clinical trials and improving access to innovative cancer therapies particularly for patients with breast cancer. 
 
Dr. Awan brings expertise in oncology research and clinical trial development, contributing to collaborative initiatives that advance how new treatments are evaluated and delivered. He is passionate about bridging the gap between scientific discovery and patient care, ensuring that research is designed with real-world impact in mind and reaches patients who can benefit most.
